The production process of battery module (pack) production line usually includes the following main steps:
1. Cell manufacturing: Cells are the core components of batteries, typically composed of lithium-ion batteries or other types of battery cells. Cell manufacturing includes process steps such as preparation, coating, stacking, and winding of positive and negative electrodes. These steps involve the preparation, coating, drying, cutting, and other processes of materials, ultimately forming the winding structure of the battery cell.
2. Cell testing and grading: In the process of manufacturing cells, strict testing is required to ensure that their quality and performance meet the prescribed standards. Testing includes voltage testing, internal resistance testing, capacity testing, etc. At the same time, it is necessary to grade the battery cells for subsequent assembly and application.
3. Cell assembly: After cell testing and grading are completed, qualified cells are assembled into battery modules. This includes arranging and connecting the battery cells according to design requirements, and adding isolation materials, protective circuits, temperature sensors, and other components to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the battery.
4. Module testing and packaging: After completing the assembly of the battery cells, the entire module needs to be tested to ensure that its performance meets the specified standards. Testing includes visual inspection, electrical performance testing, safety performance testing, etc. After testing, the battery module is packaged, usually using plastic packaging, metal shells, and other methods to protect the battery module and facilitate installation and use.
5. Finished product inspection and quality control: Conduct comprehensive finished product inspection on packaged battery modules to ensure that the products meet quality standards and regulations. The inspection content includes appearance inspection, size measurement, performance testing, etc. At the same time, quality control is carried out to monitor and manage key links in the production process, ensuring the stability and reliability of product quality.
6. Packaging and Shipping: After completing quality inspection, the battery module is finally packaged, including outer and inner packaging. The outer packaging is usually made of carton or wooden case, and the inner packaging is made of foam plastic, bubble film and other cushioning materials to ensure that the product will not be damaged during transportation. Finally, the finished products are shipped, delivered to customers, or subjected to inventory management.
